About 02 / Our Principles

The four commitments that guide everything.

Every decision we make, every research project we undertake, every publication we release — is guided by four foundational principles. These are not aspirations. They are commitments, strictly enforced and publicly verified.

Principles matter. They prevent mission drift. They protect the work from the pressures of commerce, politics, and fashion. For the Longevity Institute India, these four principles are not negotiable.

PRINCIPLE 01
Open Research
All our data is published. All our protocols are transparent. All our conflicts of interest are disclosed. We do not hide findings that contradict our hypotheses. We do not manipulate results to suit a narrative. The science goes where it leads.
PRINCIPLE 02
Indian First
We start with the question: Is this true for Indian bodies, in Indian contexts? Not as cultural commentary, but as science. Our phenotype matters. Our genetics matter. Our food systems matter. Our lives matter. Every recommendation is calibrated for us.
PRINCIPLE 03
Public by Default
Everything we produce is free. Our research is free. Our newsletters are free. Our annual compendium is free. Our protocols are free. We do not sell products. We do not charge for access. Knowledge about how to age well should be public infrastructure.
PRINCIPLE 04
Independent Always
We accept no funding from pharmaceutical companies, supplement manufacturers, or commercial health services. We are funded by reader-members, by a small founding donor circle, and by Dr. Krishna's personal commitment. Our allegiance is to the truth, not to any commercial interest.

What This Means

In practice, these principles shape every detail of how we work. They are why we publish all our citations, linked and accessible. They are why we disclose every conflict of interest. They are why we test protocols on diverse Indian populations before we publish them. They are why we never publish findings we don't believe in, regardless of external pressure.

These four principles are not the foundation of the Longevity Institute India. They are the Longevity Institute India.
